Sadau Sisters follows the lives of Rahama, an award-winning actress and star of the family, who is no stranger to controversy; Zainab, a baker, restaurateur and rising star; Aisha, a make-up artist and the peace-maker of the family; and Fatima, a fashion model and the baby of the house. As they navigate the intricacies of sisterhood, not only do they discover gripping facts about each other, but they also deal with family traumas and controversies, in the hopes of finding healing.

Rahama Sadau is an award-winning Nigerian actress, model, producer, and media personality who gained prominence when she joined Kannywood, the Hausa-language movie industry, in 2013, starring in her debut film, Gani Ga Wane. She has since appeared in a number of Hausa-language and English-language films and series, including Sons of the Caliphate and its sequel War: Wrath and Revenge, MTV Shuga, Chief Daddy 2 and Up North.

In 2016, she was invited to star in the Hollywood film America King by Akon. In addition to acting, she also produces her own movies, including Mati A Zazzau, Rariya, and Dan Iya. As one of the few Kannywood actors to break into mainstream Nollywood, Rahama’s talent and versatility have earned her a significant following in Nigeria and beyond.

I am grateful to Showmax for providing a platform to tell our stories, and I can’t wait for everyone to join us on this incredible adventure.”

Set against the background of strong religious and cultural beliefs, the debut season will see the sisters reunite in a new home and city – a move that uncovers many secrets about their family.
