“He had a great tournament” – Odumodublvck defends Iwobi as fans attack him over AFCON final

Popular rapper, Tochukwu Ojogwu better known as Odumodublvck, has come to the defence of Super Eagles midfielder, Alex Iwobi following Nigeria’s failure to win the 2023 AFCON title.

The 27-year-old faced heavy criticism as a result of Nigeria’s 2-1 defeat to Ivory Coast in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations final at Alassane Ouattara stadium on Sunday.

Odumodublvck defends Iwobi as fans attack him

But amid the harsh words, Odumodublvck took to his Twitter page and commended Iwobi’s performance and noted that he had a great tournament.

He lauded the team for taking the country to a stage that many people never expected, and expressed optimism that Super Eagles will bounce back.

Odumodublvck tweeted; “IWOBI HAD A GREAT TOURNAMENT. THE WHOLE TEAM TOOK US TO WHERE WE NEVER IMAGINED. WE WILL BE BACK 🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬”

Meanwhile, CorrectNG reported earlier that Alex Iwobi took down all the pictures and videos on his official Instagram page except one.

A check on the Fulham star’s account as at Monday morning, February 12, showed that only one video is left on the account with over 1.3 million followers.

The clip in question which is that of Iwobi opening what looked like a journal and it was posted 10 weeks ago but the comment section is currently locked.

The Fulham midfielder, who played for 79 minutes was replaced by Alhassan Yusuf for the final 10 minutes of the game.
