Mother of Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr, the Ghanaian dancehall star popularly known as Shatta Wale, has cried out over allegedly being neglected by him.

Mrs Elsie Evelyn Avemegah lamented in a video making the rounds on social media, saying Shatta Wale has neglected her for more than ten years without having knowledge of her whereabouts.

CorrectNG recalls that the artiste’s mother first informed the public of her woes in 2022 when it was disclosed that her landlord evicted her from her rented home.

In a fresh video, the 70-year-old woman begged for financial help so that she could attend to her deteriorating health, which includes hypertension.

According to Elsie, she’s been surviving and managing without any support from her son who is an international celebrity.

She further disclosed that she is currently in the care of her sister and niece, Sharita Aheteku, following her health challenge.

Her words; “My name is Elsie Evelyn Avemegah. I am the biological mother of Shatta Wale. I haven’t spoken with my son for about 10 or more years now. He doesn’t know where I live and what I eat but now my health is dropping and I’m seriously ill.”
